Business & Investment Analysis Centre

Young educated people with confirmed analytical abilities and good mathematical background required to participate as junior partners-cofounders in the forthcoming launch of a new Business & Investment Analysis Centre, based in Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria, part of EU) with a subsidiary in London (or vice versa). Exceptional candidates may get hold of the rank of Managing Partner-cofounder of the new organisation.

Minimum MSc degree in Engineering from the Technical University-Sofia, Physics or Mathematics from the Sofia University, Economics or Finance from the УНСС-Sofia or equivalent degree from a prestigious university abroad is a prerequisite. It would help if candidates also have experience in application of analytical and technical tools for rationalisation of activities in different areas of Economy and/or Industry.

Among other existing methodological and technological means, using the complementary capabilities of tightly integrated MS Excel, MS SQL Server and iConceptStore^™ (including its multi-criteria optimisation capabilities) for coordinated information presentation, data management and domain modelling, respectively, seems attractive. In particular, in the context of so called What-If Analysis is anticipated use of the unique capabilities of iConceptStore^™, serving in capacity of flexible infrastructure (back-end engine) and intelligent application environment to the closely functionally integrated Microsoft Excel for the purpose of detail quantitative and qualitative analysis of problem situations, aimed at generating, multi-criteria evaluation and justified selection of optimal or rational alternatives of behaviour. Hence, detail knowledge and work experience using Microsoft Excel is another fundamental requirement. Further experience in application of optimisation and/or statistical analysis methods in the context of the Operations Research typical scientific approach would be a definite advantage.

Good written and spoken working level English is essential for effective participation. It is expected all candidates to be financially independent (self-funded) at least during the initial stages of organisation’s activities.

Аналитичен Център "Бизнес и Инвестиции"

Търсят се базирани в София млади хора с изявени аналитични способности и добра математическа подготовка за участие като младши партньори-съоснователи в предстоящо учредяване на нов Аналитичен център "Бизнес и Инвестиции". Особено подходящи кандидати може да заслужат ранг на управляващ партньор-съосновател на новата организация.

Минимум магистърска степен в инженерна област от Технически университет-София, физика/математика от Софийски университет, някоя от икономическите специалности или специалност Финанси от УНСС-София или еквивалентна степен от престижен университет в чужбина е необходимо начално условие. Кандидатите трябва да имат и опит в приложението на аналитични и технически средства за рационализация на дейности в различни области на икономиката или индустрията.

В допълнение към други съществуващи методични и технологични средства, използването на допълващите се възможности на тясно интегрираните MS Excel, MS SQL Server и iConceptStore^™ (включително неговите функции за многокритериална оптимизация) с цел координирано съответно представяне на информация, управление на данни и моделиране на експертни знания изглежда целесъобразно. В частност, за целите на детайлен количествен и качествен анализ на проблемни ситуации с оглед формиране, много-критериална оценка и обоснован избор на оптимален или рационален вариант на поведение се предвижда използване на уникалните възможности на iConceptStore^™ при т.н. What-If Analysis, както и функционалната му интеграция с Microsoft Excel в качеството на негова гъвкава инфраструктурна и интелигентна приложна среда (back-end engine). Затова детайлни познания и опит в работа с Microsoft Excel е основно изискване, а опит в използване на методи за оптимизация и/или статистически анализ в контекста на характерния за „Изследване на операциите” (Operations Research) научен подход е значително предимство.

Необходимо е също добро работно ниво на владеене на английски, както и стилен писмен български език. Очаква се кандидатите да са финансово независими (самофинансиращи се) поне в рамките на началния етап от дейността на организацията.

MSc and PhD engineering degrees; 50 years software systems analysis, research and development experience – last twenty years in Next Generation Information Technology, previous ten years in Investment Information and Decision Support Systems and earlier in Engineering Design / Process Planning Automation (including application of Artificial Intelligence in Engineering with original contributions to design knowledge representation and reasoning) and Industrial Robotics with works published in Europe, Canada, the UK and the USA. With dual British/Bulgarian nationality he currently shares his time between London and Sofia as required.
